Please find below an overview of the hands-on workshops of our industry partners organised on occasion of the EUSOBI Annual Scientific Meeting 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. Kindly note that all workshops will take place in the same venue of the EUSOBI 2019 and are free of charge for EUSOBI 2019 delegates. An active registration to the EUSOBI Annual Scientific Meeting 2019 is required for successful workshop reservation.

This one hour workshop focus on the use of Vacuum Assisted Breast Biopsy (VABB) with real-time imaging in conjunction with Tomosynthesis guidance. After an introductory lecture the participant will be given the opportunity for a live hand-on experience with prone biopsy guidance. The lecture part of the workshop will cover both theoretical and practical aspect of VABB real-time imaging with Tomosynthesis guidance. The trainer will also share personal experience in an interactive environment. The practical interactive hands-on part of the workshop will allow participants to use VABB real-time imaging and Tomosynthesis guidance equipment. The learning environment in small groups will allow the participants to get a good understanding of the technologies, the potential use in their clinical practices and how to address challenges with potential changes to clinical practices.

Hands-on experience of a new technique for breast lesion localization

The objective of this 60-minute workshop is to provide participants with an update on lesion localization and hands-on experience with a new pre-operative lesion localization technique for streamlining the patient surgical pathway. The workshop will be composed of a theoretical component with a breast surgeon sharing the clinical aspects of RFID tag lesion localization for lumpectomy, followed by participants being given the opportunity to form their own opinion about clinical challenges and advantages through hands-on experience in smaller groups. The practical hands-on component of the workshop has been designed to allow the participant to form their own opinion about the practical application of the new technique in their clinical environment.
