DEAR COLLEAGUES & FRIENDS,
On behalf of the European Society of Breast Imaging, we are happy to announce the upcoming EUSOBI Diagnostic and Interventional Breast Ultrasound Course which will take place in Vienna, Austria, from September 16-17, 2021.
Over the course of 2 days, European experts in breast ultrasound will:

- emphasize the basic principles of interpreting and reporting breast ultrasound examinations;
- deliver interactive case-based US-BI-RADS workshops;
- provide an extended, in-depth review of best practices in breast imaging with ultrasound;
- present hot topics and emerging applications;
- utilise interactive teaching as well as problem-solving case presentation.
- employ workshops to allow hands-on experience of automated 3D Ultrasound, US-guided biopsy, lesion localization and minimal invasive therapy of breast lesions.
The course registration is now open. Of course, your safety is EUSOBI’s first priority and we will strictly follow all decisions and recommendations by local authorities. All registrations that have been moved from the initially planned course in March 2020 will of course remain valid for September 2021.
SAFETY MEASURES (applicable as per July 5)
The Austrian government has put together some safety measures for organising courses and conferences in times of the covid-19 pandemic. We will of course stick to these rules to make a safe performance of this event possible. As per the current information (as per June 11) these measures include:
• Proof to enter an event: negative test OR vaccination OR recovery
• Obligation to wear a face mask (eventually FFP2 – depending on final regulations for September)
• Social distancing (currently 1 meter)
• Consumption of catering only possible on a reserved seat
These rules may be subject to change until September and we will give you an update before the event.
We would like to thank you very much in advance for your patience, understanding and valuable support of our society! We are looking forward to a successful EUSOBI Breast Ultrasound Course from September 16-17, 2021, and would of course be happy to welcome you there.
