SHAPE THE FUTURE OF BREAST IMAGING

The European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI) continues to grow year after year. Membership has reached record numbers, and EUSOBI’s activities in research and education are expanding in both scope and impact, reinforcing its central role within the global breast imaging community.
In response to this growth, the EUSOBI Young Club (EYC) Committee is seeking motivated and enthusiastic radiologists or radiology residents with a strong interest in breast imaging to join the Committee.

Eligibility
Applications are open to EUSOBI members in good standing who meet one of the following criteria:

• Aged 40 years or younger (including the year of turning 40), or
• Currently enrolled in a radiology training programme, regardless of age, or
• Within three working years after board certification (excluding any gap years), regardless of age.

How to apply
Interested candidates are invited to submit:

• A curriculum vitae, and
• A motivation letter (both in English), outlining their interest in joining the EYC Committee and the contribution they could bring to the Committee’s work.

EUSOBI is committed to gender, ethnic, and geographical diversity. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview. All applicants will be informed of the outcome by email once a decision has been made.

New Committee members will be officially announced at the EUSOBI General Assembly in October 2026.
The term of office will run concurrently with the EUSOBI Executive Board, from October 2026 to October 2028, with the possibility of renewal.

EUSOBI Young Club Committee
DESCRIPTION

The EYC aims to create connections and foster collaborations between young specialists and researchers with an interest in breast imaging, by providing an international communication platform to share experiences, exchange ideas and knowledge, and opportunities for social interaction. The Young Club is actively involved in the organisation of courses and webinars that address educational and research topics in breast imaging, as well as professional issues that young breast radiologists may encounter in Europe (and all over the world).
The EYC Committee works actively with the EUSOBI Executive Board and other Committees to promote the active participation and involvement of young breast imaging specialists in the society and breast imaging community.

TASKS
The EYC Committee members are required:

• to collaborate and support the organization of EYC educational activities as webinars, journal club and courses. This includes help in the development of the program, moderating session and promptly participate in all the planned activities.
• to collaborate in drafting of newsletters/educational papers and other scientific publications.
• to maintain education in breast imaging, being up to date with latest scientific development and consider taking further qualification as the European Diploma in Breast Imaging.

The European Society of Breast Imaging is growing year by year. Not only its members have increased to a record-breaking number, also its activities with regards to research and education are growing and becoming more important for the breast imaging community worldwide.

Therefore, the EUSOBI Young Club Committee is looking for keen and enthusiastic radiologists or radiology residents with an interest in breast imaging to join our committee.

We are looking for gender, ethnic and geographical diversity. The Committee may invite applicants for an interview. As soon as the decision has been made, we will inform all applicants by email. The new Committee members will officially be announced at the General Assembly in October 2026.
