This course stems from the continuous evolution of interventional techniques in breast care, which now make it possible — thanks to increasingly advanced devices such as fine needles and fibers — to treat, remove, or ablate selected breast lesions through minimally invasive, non-surgical approaches.
The main focus of the course is to define the decision-making pathway for percutaneous treatment of B3 lesions using VAE (vacuum-assisted excision) under tomographic or ultrasound guidance. The course will also explore the use of cryoablation for benign lesions (such as fibroadenomas) and low-grade tumors in patients who are not eligible for surgery due to comorbidities or by personal choice.
